For some years we have held a camp in Vlore in the South of Albania.

The cost for camp for a family of 4, was almost 300EUROS for five days. For some families, this is more than their combined monthly wage. For this reason, each year we set up a fund for camp in order to pay for half the costs.

In 2006 we had over 100 in attendance. This was not just a popular time for the believers, but also an important time for fellowship, and bible teaching. Believers in Albania do not get a chance to meet with other churches very often, so this was the high point of their year. It was an especially important time for believers from small assemblies in the mountains.

One couple came to camp from Koplik, together with their 3 children. This was their first time away from Koplik as a family in their 15 years of marriage. They testified of the spiritual blessing the time at camp was for them!

Unfortunately, due to the popularity and success of the camps, the numbers increased each year. As a result, we have been unable to fund so many people, therefore we are not holding any more families camps for the time being.
We are now trying to concentrate on 3 day weekend camps with the teenagers and young people. We have run this for the last 2 years and hope to run 2 in summer 2009. We hope to expand this work and include more children in future years.
