Currently we are running 2 discipleship courses.
The first is for all the believers in the church. We have a series of 4 books, each book has 13 lessons. Each course lasts just over 6 months and we try to run 2 courses during each year. We have had almost half the church participate so far, and we are encouraging those who have not started the course, to enrol for the next series. The feedback that we have received from taking the groups is very positive. Part of the second course was to set spiritual goals for the following year, so we continue to monitor and encourage the believers to achieve these within the time frame that they set for themselves.

The other course is for the elders, and bible teachers in Albania. We have run these courses for 4 years, studying hermeneutics, soteriology, Church History ( particularly the Brethren Church) and  “The Theology of the New Covenant”. Each year a teacher from IBEI, the Bible School in Rome comes and gives us teaching. We appreciate very much the support of Rinaldo Diprose and Fares Marzone in this project.
There is extensive course material to be translated and distributed to those taking the course, and there is also home work to be handed in for some of the lessons.

 

It was very encouraging to see the response and the many questions that came from each topic.
God willing, we plan to use the new hall to continue running these courses during the summer, and hopefully to expand the numbers taking part, and to also have a longer period of study with the participants.

The next course is planned for Easter 2009.
