CHURCH AT SHKODER 

The church here at Shkodër is still very young. It has only been 15 years since the fall of communism and the opening of the door for the gospel to come into Albania again. Interestingly, the church in Philippi was much the same age when Paul wrote his letter to them. In it he said this… “ And this I pray, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” Phil. 1:9-11

This is our prayer for the believers here in Albania. That their love will be rooted in the word of God, so that they may be able to understand what really matters, and what is important in this life. So that they will lead holy, pure, blameless lives bearing fruit in every good work. And that all glory and praise will be to God, the Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Please pray for much spiritual wisdom for the elders (Meriton, Vladimir and Colin) in our pastoral care and guidance of the believers in the church. We have almost 60 baptised and in fellowship. (although more then that attend the meetings) We have had 17 weddings in the last 11 years, and now more than 40 children of primary school age or less.
