We have a number of full time workers in the church at Shkodër.

Meriton Cungu is in full time service as a bible teacher and elder in the church at Shkoder.

He is married to Mirela, and they have 2 children: Ester ( age 13) and Samuel ( age 9).

 

Meriton takes on the main responsibility of teaching of the local believers.

 

He is currently at IBEI Bible School in Rome where he has already finished a 2 year course in Koine Greek.

He has done a number of detailed studies with the church here in Shkoder (Divorce and Remarriage, Elders, The Lord’s Supper ), and some of these have been put into print for the Albanian believers to purchase and to study.

 

Edmond Shkrivani and his wife Nikoleta, are in full time service in the churches at Lezhe and Rreshen. They live in Lezhe, and are heavily involved in teaching, evangelism, and discipleship.

They have 3 children: Rebeka (age 12), Rashela (aged 10) and Ruben (age 6).

 

 

Lezhe & Rreshen

Edmond carries on the work of evangelism, discipleship and teaching in Lezhe and Rreshen. There are around 30 believers between these 2 towns, and much of his time is taken up in studies and meetings with contacts.   The main group is in Lezhe and there is the foundation of a good group there, with some young married couple and good fellowship between the believers.

They are active in their evangelism and have new people coming regularly. Please pray for the ongoing work in these two towns, that the church will grow both spiritually and numerically.

 

These brothers are supported in different ways. Meriton, is supported mainly by gifts from the local church at Shkodër, but also from gifts from churches in the U.K.
Edmond and Nikoleta are supported from gifts from the church at Shkodër, as well as gifts from two churches, one in Tasmania, one in Italy, and a separate gift from the U.K.
We have set up a fund in the UK for the Albanian Full Time Workers– (Albanian Full Time Workers Fund).

 

Gifts can be given to this fund through the following UK registered charities Echoes of Service, Interlink or Lord’s Work Trust in the UK or through the internet by the paypal account cs64ek74@aol.com specifying that the gift is for this purpose, or if you wish, specifically for one of the full time workers.

There is a valuable service for the Lord being carried out by these servants, and we appreciate greatly those who have given gifts to help support them.
